DEER FENCING, SUSSEX
Based in the picturesque Sussex countryside, we have just finished an install of 270m of 2m high deer fencing and gates. Our brief was to replace the original wall which once flowed around the garden with estate fencing which would prevent deer, rabbits and badgers from getting into the garden. The estate deer fencing followed a curving and constantly undulating line all of which was on sloping ground.
The fence has a top rail with seven flat lower rails and to ensure proper stability of the high fence these are driven 1m and secured with welded struts below ground level. The fence was netted for rabbits and in addition we added insulators at low level with an electric fence prevent badgers getting into the garden.
To match the fence a number of gates were installed ranging from 1.2m to 4.2m wide.
In one area the Estate fencing was extended in a rectangle to create a large open run for chickens. This was netted to the full 2m height with weldmesh attached to the access gate to prevent foxes getting at the chickens.
The fence and gates was then painted in the clients favourite colour racing green.
