We take great pleasure in restoring wrought iron and metal fencing back to its original state. We have been involved in numerous HLS projects, environmental schemes, and renovations to metal fencing in listed parkland or for heritage sites. Often there is fantastic original wrought fencing, which has been left in a state of decay. Our philosophy in such cases is to repair this and reuse as much of the original as possible. Whilst this can in some cases be more expensive than a new fence, the heritage and emotional value of the original makes this worthwhile.
We will assess the condition of any metalwork and advise on the relative merits of restoration vs renewal according to clients requirements
Through our sister company Britannia we have undertaken many restoration projects on high profile sites including Royal parks and palaces, government buildings and Cathedrals.

Stonebank Ironcraft Ltd will from now on be trading as Britannia Metalwork Services. The ownership has not changed, however following our purchase of Britannia Architectural Metalwork, for the sake of rationalisation, good housekeeping and presenting a clearer picture of who we are and what we do we have decided to bring the two businesses together under the name of Britannia Metalwork Services Ltd.
Both businesses will retain all of their existing employees and their specialist skills. The two divisions trading under BMS Ltd will be known as Britannia Architectural Metalwork and Britannia Fencing.
